Photo Dance Maker ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

• Photos you submit: Sent to our server and forwarded to fal.ai's AI service solely to generate your dance video. Not stored permanently.
• RevenueCat purchase data: We receive a RevenueCat user ID and entitlement status to verify your in-app purchase. No payment card data is shared with us.
• Usage data: Basic request logs (timestamps, genre selected) to operate and debug the service. No personally identifiable information is logged.

2. Face Data — Collection, Use, and Storage

Photo Dance Maker processes photos that may contain images of human faces. This section explains exactly how that face data is handled, in compliance with Apple App Store guidelines 5.1.1(i) and 5.1.2(i).

• What face data is collected: When you choose a photo to animate, that photo — which may include one or more human faces — is transmitted to our server and then to fal.ai, a third-party AI video generation service. No facial geometry, biometric templates, face embeddings, or facial recognition data are ever extracted or stored by us.
• When it is collected: Face data is collected only at the moment you actively choose a photo and tap to generate a dance video. The app never accesses your camera roll passively and never collects photos in the background.
• How it is used: The photo (including any faces in it) is used solely to generate your personalized AI dance video. It is never used for facial recognition, identity verification, advertising targeting, user profiling, or any purpose other than producing the video you requested.
• Who it is shared with: Your photo is shared only with fal.ai (fal.ai) for the purpose of AI video generation. It is not shared with any other third party. fal.ai's privacy policy is available at fal.ai/privacy.
• Retention: We do not store your photo on our servers after the video generation request is complete. Photos are processed in memory only and are not written to disk. fal.ai may retain the photo temporarily as part of their processing pipeline; refer to fal.ai's privacy policy for their specific retention period. Generated video URLs expire and become inaccessible over time.
• User consent: Before any photo is selected or transmitted, the app displays a consent screen that explicitly names fal.ai, describes what data will be sent, and requires the user to actively check a box confirming their consent. Users who decline cannot proceed, and no data is transmitted.

The specific text of the in-app consent disclosure reads: "I understand my photo will be sent to fal.ai to generate my video, and I consent to this."

3. How We Use Your Information

• To generate AI dance videos as requested.
• To verify in-app purchases via RevenueCat.
• To diagnose and fix technical issues.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following third parties:

• fal.ai — receives your photo to generate the video.
• RevenueCat — manages in-app purchase verification.
• Apple iTunes — provides 30-second song preview clips.

We do not sell your data to any third party.

5. Data Retention

Uploaded photos are processed in memory and not stored to disk after video generation completes. Merged video files are stored temporarily (up to 1 hour) in server memory and then deleted. Generated video URLs hosted by fal.ai are subject to fal.ai's own retention policies.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Contact us at support@dancemakerapp.com to exercise these rights.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
